These poems are from a series inspired by reading Atlas Obscura stories while listening to a music genre randomly selected from my list. The poems were written immediately after reading, still while listening to the randomly chosen music. I frequently post these to Medium. Trying to Make Sense of the Monolith Craze of 2020
(article here:

K-Pop

Start your engines, fly those planes
Silver silver silver me
in Romania, huh, in Utah,
haha Stonehenge, Florida,
Netherlands, California
Finland, Finland, Mo-roc-co!!

I’m always gonna be
a puzzle for society
and everywhere you go you know
the monolith is me

silver silver out all night
silver silver need your hand
in the twilight, in the spotlight

silver silver magic magic
silver silver I want your kiss
silver silver breath

You will come when the stars align
You’ll come when I come to life

I don’t gotta be a mystery
for you to look at me
I just gotta be shine, shine, shiny
